Family Rosary Movement

As the Archdiocesan CEC mission was begun in 1977, we’ve had several Co-workers from there grow into becoming ‘Senior-Citizens’ during the last four decades… again BIG THANKS be to God… Their perseverance and love for the mission has always been an inspiration just as much as their wisdom and dedication to their private family life.

Mrs Gemma Carvalho is one such member who began also the Family Rosary Movement following the same codes of late Fr Patrick Peyton of the Holy Cross Fathers. Holy Cross Fathers who also stay close to her home, have always been her guide and mentor in this mission. It was always a wonderful sight to see her with her late husband Mr Leslie Carvalho serve at the Archdiocesan CEC’s Thursday Table Ministry mission. On Wednesdays they organised Rosary Prayer in their home and several members from this mission would join in much prayers…

Peace through Rosary Prayer, peace in the household and world-peace, socio-economic situations that require urgent intercessions, specific families that require ardent prayers, etc., all became intentions during each Rosary Prayer session. Each member would also commit to offer personal Rosary Prayers in the quiet of their homes on specific days and there would be a grand Holy Eucharist with many priests concelebrating on the 13th of May and October, in order to commemorate the happy feast of Our Mama Mary of Fatima and Rosary Prayer…

Prayer warriors are always a blessing for any rebuilding mission. Because it is in the spiritual that the first, heartfelt, genuine and correct reconciliation occurs… Restoration and rebuilding only strengthen onward from there.
